  • Lunenburg House

A live-work housing project based in the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Working with tutors Robert Collins, Niall Savage, and Brian MacKay-Lyons, I designed a house that uses traditional forms with modern details and living arrangements. The fronthouse is for living, matching the residential nature of the street. The backhouse is a working bookbindery/studio. Between them is a small courtyard available to both uses. (1. Town plan. / 2-4. Early ideas of site and interior arrangement. / 5-9. Final proposal in parti. plan, section, and elevation.)
